Saving websites behind paywalls and login screens
mymind works by taking screenshots and analyzing public pages. When you save a link to your mind, if the link is not publicly available—i.e., the content is hidden behind a paywall or login screen—mymind will not be able to pull that page's images and information for you.
In these cases, mymind will instead only save the link. This will happen when you save via the mobile share sheet or by pasting a link into your mind.
Tip: You can replace the thumbnail of a webpage that didn't save nicely in your mind on the Mastermind plan.
Saving with the browser extension
There is a workaround, though. If you save the link through the mymind browser extension, the extension will first pull the HTML of your current page. If it can reach it, mymind can save articles and websites even if they're behind a login screen.
Note: You must first be logged in to whatever website you're saving. This isn't guaranteed to work with all websites.
If mymind fails to save the content, it falls back on the earlier method and saves the public link instead.
